Bella sighed loudly. Emmett looked over at her. She immediately went back to the magazine she was reading. When you're a vampire, there's not much to do to pass the time. And "Forever" is a pretty long amount of time to fill up. Bella usually had her hands full, what with caring for Renesmee and all, but today dear little Nessie was out with daddy for some father daughter time. So Bella was sitting at home with Emmett. She sighed loudly again.
"What??" Emmett finally said.
"Ooooh, nothing...." Bella smirked, then hesitated.
"Seriously, Bell, what is it?"
"I was just wondering why you and Rose weren't...you know...damaging a house or something?" she laughed on the last part of the sentence.
"Oh, you are sooo on," Emmett said, turning of the TV in lightning speed. "The usual?"
"No, I was thinking we could make it interesting...20 bucks for every time you slip up."
"Ha! No problem," Emmett said, and in no time, he had darted out the back door, into the woods, and returned with a giant boulder. He set it down out on the patio and grinned at Bella. She walked outside and knelt on one side of the boulder. Emmett knelt on the other side and rested his elbow on the boulder. Bella did the same and took his hand.
"One, two, three...go!!" she said, and the war began. As her newborn strength had begun to wear off, it was harder to beat Emmett now. But he figured it had worn off more than it actually had. After about two minutes of wrestling, Bella pinned his arm to the boulder. There were two dents where their elbows had been and one where Emmetts arm slammed down.
"Dammit..." Emmett grumbled. "I underestimated you...master." He then bowed deeply and began to head back into the house.
"Hey, wait!" Bella said. He turned around. "I know why you're not with Rose." He raised his eyebrows. "She's finishing the repairs on the cottage." Emmett bit his lip, clearly agonized. "You know, it was only 2 rooms this time..."
Emmett put his hands over his ears. "LALALALALALALAAAAA I CAN'T HEAR YOUUUUU!" he said loudly.
"Are you sure? Cause vampires have very good hearing. Are you sure you don't wanna know why it's not the whole house?"
At that moment, Rosalie walked up to them, carrying a toolbox and coming from the direction of Bella and Edward's cottage.
"Rose!" Emmett exclaimed. He ran to her and jumped into her arms. She caught him, cradling him like a baby. "Save me!!!" he whined.
"Did you lose again, Em?" Rosalie said, exasperated. "I told you, this is gonna keep happening. Avoid temptation, Em. And do not arm wrestle her anymore."
"What??" Emmett finally said.
