Just a short little alternative first break up/make up for Luke and Lorelai<3
***
Sookie tried to step over all of Lorelai's new living equipment to get to her bed, but it was impossible. She called to her over the rubble.
"Lorelai, honey, you gotta get out of bed. It's been 2 weeks!"
Lorelai grumbled and rolled over. Luke had broken up with her two weeks ago and ever since she'd been living in her bed. She wiped the freshest batch of tears from her eyes.
"Luke's losing business...people think he really hurt you, the way you're staying here...well he did hurt you but..."
"But I hurt him first. I know. I...I can't stand it anymore," Lorelai said sitting up and beginning to cry again. "I have to see him. I can't live without him, Sookie. I love him so much."
Sookie smiled. "So go to him."
"He'll never take me back."
"Talk to him."
Lorelai sat for a moment, sniffled, then swung her legs off the bed and began to clear a path to the door.
***
Fully dressed and washed up, 30 minutes later, Lorelai walked into Luke's diner.
"Luke," she said, her voice as stable as she could muster, "I need to talk to you. Please." Luke looked at her, then turned away. Lorelai looked around. Sookie was right, he had lost business on her account. Kirk was the only person in the diner, and it was only 2:00. She took a deep, shaky breath and turned away. But as she put her hand on the door, she broke down and turned around. Sobbing, she rushed behind the counter.
"Luke," she cried, "please, please, please, take me back! I'm sorry for what I did, but I promise, I will NEVER see Christopher again. I love you, Luke, not him!" She took his hands and fell to her knees. She spoke to his feet. "Please, please...I love you. That's all I have to offer, that and my word. My promise that I will always love you. You, Luke, not Chris, please!" She was hugging his legs now.
"Lorelai..."
"PLEASE!!!!!!!!!"
"Lorelai!" She looked up at him, her face red and tear stained. "Stand up." She did. "You promise? No more secrets." She nodded eagerly.
"I promise, Luke, and I won't break it, I promise!" she said, hands clasped together as though begging him.
"I know you won't..." he said. Then he took her face in his hands and kissed her. She wound her arms around his waist. When they pulled apart, they saw the entire town staring at them through the window, holding their Luke or Lorelai pins, with Kirk staring at them from his table.
Luke rolled his eyes. "News travels fast around here, doesn't it?"
